March break is here, and with that comes a plethora of things to do in the city!
Whether you want to explore a castle and be absorbed into the world of Disney’s upcoming live-action Snow White, you’re a gamer and want to see what adventures await with A Minecraft Movie, or you want to combine all your favourites and hobbies and take a trip to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre for Comic Con, there’s a little something for everyone to do this week.
Check out some options I think are the perfect ways to pass the time this week (and beyond, in some cases) in Toronto!
Disney’s Snow White Exhibit at Casa Loma

A magical fairytale adventure has never looked as good as the Snow White Exhibit being held at Casa Loma.
The immersive experience brings the timeless tale to life for new audiences. It allows guests to step into the world of Snow White with various themed rooms befitting the movie’s iconic characters, including Snow White’s courtyard, the Evil Queen’s throne room, and the mine! The rooms showcase costumes and props like Snow White’s locket, the Evil Queen’s heart box and the famed Magic Mirror.
Disney’s Snow White exhibit as Casa Loma opened on March 10 and runs until March 21 (the release date of the live-action reimagining in theatres), so there’s still plenty of time to enjoy this magical experience before it ends.
Advance tickets to see Snow White in theatres are on sale now!
A Minecraft Movie Experience

A world-exclusive activation crafted by Warner Bros. Pictures Canada is now at Yorkdale Mall for A Minecraft Movie! The immersive experience will surely be a hit with visitors of all ages and offers a chance to step into the pixelated paradise of the Minecraft Overworld.
From March 8 to March 16 (during mall hours), visitors can experience a mega-sized LED portal, lifelike Creeper, Bee, and Pink Sheep characters from the movie, LEGO Minecraft sets, and other take-home souvenirs. Make sure you check out the world-exclusive experience before it ends on March 16.
A Minecraft Movie hits theatres on April 4!
Cineplex Cinemas Family Favourites

If you’d like to keep your March break travels to something more local, why not head to your nearest Cineplex theatre?!
During March break, Cineplex brings some family-favourite movies to the big screen for just $3.99. In addition, if you’re a Scene member, you’ll earn 250 bonus points with the purchase of any ticket (this offer ends on March 16).
Despicable Me 4, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, The Wild Robot, and Transformers One are among the movies returning to Cineplex theatres this week. Don’t miss out on this amazing deal at the movie theatre!
Toronto Comic Con

During the last weekend of March break, many people will descend upon the Metro Toronto Convention Centre to see their fave celebrities, comic creators and cosplayers at Toronto Comic Con!
If you’re a fan of The Boys and Supernatural, you will have a great time at the con this weekend. Stars from both shows will attend the event, sign autographs, participate in photo ops and do panels throughout the weekend. The lineup from The Boys includes Karl Urban, Antony Starr, Laz Alonso, Jessie T. Usher, Valorie Curry, Nathan Mitchell, Colbie Minifie, and Tomer Capone. From Supernatural, Jared Padalecki, Mark Sheppard, Ruth Connell, Jim Beaver and Alexander Calvert will all spend time with fans. In addition, fan-favourites Manny Jacinto (The Acolyte, The Good Place) and James Marsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) will also be at Toronto Comic Con.
If Comics are more your thing, several comic creators will appear throughout the weekend, including Hayden Sherman (Absolute Wonder Woman), Paris Alleyne (Static: Up All Night), Fred Kennedy (Dead Romans), Jahnoy Lindsay (Absolute Green Lantern), Alex Maleev (Daredevil) and more!
With celeb panels, shopping, cosplay meet-ups, gaming and more, there’s something for everyone at Toronto Comic Con, running from March 14 to 16.
