The Marvels had its theatrical run and now it’s set available on to rent and own on Digital. In addition to seeing the movie, there are many ways to celebrate one of our favourite Marvel heroines, Carol Danvers a.k.a. Captain Marvel.
While there are a plethora of comic storylines to dive into that feature the half-Kree, half-human superhero, sometimes you just want to cozy up and relax with a good book.
This list is short and includes three novels featuring Captain Danvers. Two out of the three are not part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie canon, so even if you’re unfamiliar with the Captain Marvel MCU flick, but you still love the character, anyone who wants to get more acquainted with Miss Danvers has great reading options too.

Captain Marvel: Higher, Further, Faster by Liza Palmer
Liza Palmer’s Captain Marvel: Higher, Further, Faster serves as a a prequel to the 2019 Captain Marvel film, focused on Carol’s first year in the Air Force. Alongside her bestie Maria Rambeau, Carol faces some tough challenges, including the dealing with some of the other cadets who aren’t too keen on Carol or Maria being part of the Force.

Captain Marvel: Liberation Run by Tess Sharpe
In Tess Sharpe’s Captain Marvel: Liberation Run, the superheroine is tasked with freeing Inhuman slaves who are imprisoned on a distant planet.
Upon narrowly stopping a spaceship from crashing, Captain Marvel meets a young Inhuman named Rhi. Rhi was traveling to create a life among the stars, but tells Carol that she and other Inhumans were captured and enslaved. Carol cannot stand by when she learns of this injustice and she, alongside Ant-Man, Mantis and Amadeus Cho, set out for a rescue mission to save the group of Inhumans.
